A community ensemble with a professional standard.

The Draper Philharmonic and Choral Society is a volunteer-driven orchestra and choir dedicated to presenting inspiring music for Draper and the surrounding communities. Our players and singers come from a range of backgrounds—educators, professionals, students, and retirees—united by a shared love of great music.

Our repertoire blends time-honored classics, sacred works, American music, and original compositions. Every season is designed to be approachable for first-time concertgoers and deeply rewarding for seasoned listeners.

By attending a performance or joining the ensemble, you support live arts in Draper and help create moving musical experiences for families, friends, and neighbors.

Questions about concerts or membership?

Whether you’re planning your first visit or considering joining the ensemble, these quick answers can help. You can always reach us directly if you don’t see your question here.

Are your concerts family-friendly?

Yes. Our concerts are designed to be welcoming to families and respectful of all ages. While very young children may be more comfortable at outdoor or matinee events, all public performances are suitable for families unless otherwise noted.

How early should I arrive before a performance?

We recommend arriving 30–40 minutes early to allow time for parking, ticket pickup if needed, and finding your seats. Doors typically open 30 minutes before the concert begins.

Do I need prior ensemble experience to join the choir or orchestra?

We look for singers and instrumentalists who have prior ensemble experience and can confidently read music. Our audition process is friendly and low-pressure; it simply helps us place you in the right section and part.

Where do you rehearse?

Rehearsals are held weekly in the Draper area. Specific times and locations may vary by season, and we’ll share current details when you submit the interest form.
