The Draper Philharmonic and Choral Society was born out of a deep conviction that music has the power to uplift, inspire, and unite. Founded in January 2017, DPACS was created to serve the Draper community and beyond with three guiding beliefs:
Our work is guided by three core principles that shape every rehearsal and performance:
Grow the Society to include more talented musicians and vocalists from across
the valley.
Establish a permanent performance home for the Draper Philharmonic and Choral Society.
Bring music education and performances to underserved communities and schools.
Develop programs that mentor and inspire the next generation of musicians.
Continue expanding our repertoire to include a wide range of musical genres
and styles.
Build a strong financial foundation through donations, sponsorships, and ticket sales.

Founded in Draper, Utah
Non-profit, volunteer-driven organization
Hours of dedicated service
Sherri Jensen founds the Draper Philharmonic and Choral Society with a vision to bring symphonic and choral music to the Draper community. The organization is established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
The early years focused on recruiting musicians, establishing rehearsal schedules, and building community partnerships. The ensemble grew from a small group of dedicated musicians to a full philharmonic and choral society.
Despite the challenges of the pandemic, DPACS continued to find ways to make music together and serve the community, adapting rehearsals and performances to keep the music alive.
DPACS returned to full-scale performances, delighting audiences with powerful concerts that showcased the talent and dedication of the ensemble.
Continued growth with expanded repertoire and larger audiences. The organization strengthened its presence in the community and attracted new members and supporters.
Four major concerts planned: Lamb of God (March), Arise: Behold the Glory (June), Broadway: From Stage to Screen (October), and King of Kings (December). Over 135,870 volunteer hours contributed, representing over $3.1 million in in-kind support.
Whether you're a musician, a music lover, or someone who wants to make a difference in the community, there's a place for you here in the Society!
