OUR PURPOSE

Why We Were Founded

The Draper Philharmonic and Choral Society was born out of a deep conviction that music has the power to uplift, inspire, and unite. Founded in January 2017, DPACS was created to serve the Draper community and beyond with three guiding beliefs:

Our work is guided by three core principles that shape every rehearsal and performance:

  • Light and Hope — The world needs more light and hope, and music is a powerful vehicle for delivering both.
  • Testimony Through Music — Music can bear testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ and His love for all people.
  • Love of Country — Patriotic music strengthens our love for country and appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy.

OUR MISSION

Mission Statement

  • Deliver inspiring performances that uplift and strengthen our community.
  • Promote the appreciation and understanding of symphonic and choral music.

2017–2019 — Building the Foundation

The early years focused on recruiting musicians, establishing rehearsal schedules, and building community partnerships. The ensemble grew from a small group of dedicated musicians to a full philharmonic and choral society.
